Joining the Fight Club

Welcome to the second-most-deadly Pirate Fight Club in Brieport. Either you're already a member, you're about to become one, or you ain't leaving here alive.

We host two fights a day - brawls, really. The day brawl is a bit more polite, better for newbies. No fire, no big guns, no dirty tricks, no killing blows. The night brawl is no-holds-barred, except for fire. If this place burns down you ain't getting your winnings. Same for if you die.

We got some fighters and mercs hanging around with nothing better to do, you can pay 'em to get their sorry asses off the bar and fight for a bit of coin. They can fight for you or against you, but you only get paid for those you defeat.

Quinton 'Grim' Earle

Draft for 5gp, Win 7gp if defeated Old as barnacles and twice as crusty. Grim’s got a thousand-yard stare and a limp that shifts legs when he walks. Might’ve been a legend once—or maybe he just tells better stories than anyone can prove wrong. Wields a rusted cutlass and a mean backhand. Fights slow, fights steady, and somehow still wins more than he should. Probably because folks underestimate the old man. Just once.

Harding 'One Eye' Zaine

Draft for 5gp, Win 10gp if defeated Wears a pristine eyepatch and a coat too clean for someone in this dump. Refuses to fight at night—claims the stars “mock him.” Favors tidy jabs, footwork, and a suspicious lack of bruises after a brawl. He's got a military past and the attitude to prove it. Thinks rules are sexy. You won't, after fighting him.

Freeman 'Savage Soul' Duke

Draft for 5gp, Win 15gp if defeated Big voice. Bigger axe. No shirt. Covered in tattoos of various teeth—none of them his. Claims to channel ancestral spirits. Fights like he's got a dozen angry ghosts riding shotgun and none of them like you. Might start crying mid-fight. Might kill you. Roll the bones.

Phyllis 'Blunder' Dayton

Draft for 5gp, Win 20gp if defeated Looks like your aunt. Fights like your worst nightmare. Clumsy, absent-minded, and somehow still dodges like a drunk cat in a rain barrel. Drops her weapon, picks up yours, and somehow wins. Accidentally dangerous. Probably cursed.

Pelham 'Backstabber' Rogue

Draft for 10gp, Win 20gp if defeated Smiles too wide. Smells like oil and regret. Carries six knives and you’ll only ever see one—usually in your ribs. He’s a “strategic” fighter, which means he lets someone else take the punches while he ends the round. Trust him like a snake in your hammock.
